Massage 101

One of our most commonly asked questions is
"What's the difference between Swedish Therapeutic Massage and the Neck, Shoulders and Back Massage?"

They both have the same price points so people are often confused on what the differences really are.  Here at Serenity Spa we customize every massage to meet the exact needs of every client. No matter which you choose, you will receive the most beneficial massage for you.

Lets get down to the differences!

Swedish Massage uses five styles of long, flowing strokes. The goal is to relax the entire body. Swedish Massage is perfect for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. It also reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. It can also be helpful in shortening recovery time from muscular strain because it flushes the muscular tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes.

The Neck, Shoulders and Back Massage is pretty much how it sounds. This massage is targeted toward the neck, shoulders and back which are areas that are prone to stiffness and accumulated tension. When stress begins to build up in these areas it can lead to stiff necks headaches, and aching shoulders. A regular massage can alleviate these issues while improving blood circulation.

Add massage to your health and wellness plan today and begin to feel ahhhhh-mazing!!!
